Is coffee one of the world’s most consumed beverages because of its very distinctive and nonreplicable taste or is it popular because the naturally occurring caffeine in coffee is slightly addictive? If it is the latter then why do people who drink only decaffeinated coffee still drink coffee regularly or even as part of a daily ritual? I am not loking for a scientific answer - just wondering. Whatever the final outcome of such ponderous questions, it still remains that when we do drink coffee we want it brewed to taste just right, time after time.
